Join us for a casual, 2 mile out-and-back hike on the Yellow Rock Loop at Devil’s Den State Park, to enjoy the light of the full moon! We will be taking this hike nice and easy, to accommodate anyone who has any interest in experiencing this well-known trail at night, as well as relaxing at the overlook to enjoy the night sky. The trail is frequently traveled, well maintained, and rated as easy to moderate. There are multiple rocky sections, cliff ledges, steep inclines, and uneven surfaces. Grab your headlamp and join us for an after-dark hike!
When: August 19, 8:00 pm. We will be leaving from the North parking lot at Pack Rat AT 8:00pm. Please arrive early!

It might surprise you, but the Lotus moon is named after the time that lotus flowers begin to bloom! While they are able to start blooming anywhere from May to September, June is when the bulk of these beautiful flowers show up and show out!
Space is limited to 15 participants!
